BLACKPINK MEMBER LISA JOINS ‘WHITE LOTUS’ SEASON 3

On Monday, HBO confirmed that Lisa from Blackpink has joined the cast of Season 3 of ‘The White Lotus’.

The third season of the popular HBO series will credit Lalisa Manobal under her given name. The series begins production in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok this month and will follow a new group of guests at another White Lotus property. As for the third season, all cast members’ roles and exact plot for season 3 is being kept under wraps.

The announced expansive ensemble cast includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Julian Kostov, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong and Aimee Lou Wood.

Manobal is all set to make her acting debut in the third season of the popular TV series’ White Lotus’. It is worth noting that Manobal is the second member of Blackpink to appear in an HBO series. Jennie, credited as Jennie Ruby Jane, made her acting debut in the drama ‘The Idol’, which premiered in June 2023.

Mike White created, wrote, and directed The White Lotus and also served as executive producer alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine. HBO partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to support the filming and promotion of the third season.

Manobal began her career as a musician and gained fame as a member of Blackpink, a group comprising four members – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. Over time, Blackpink has become one of the most popular musical groups in the world.

Recently, she established her own management company named Lloud Co. She has broken several individual records herself. With the release of her solo album “Lalisa” in 2021, she became the first female artist to sell 736,999 copies in the first week in South Korea. Both her singles from the album — “Lalisa” and “Money” — charted in the top 10 of the Billboard Global 200.
