‘NETFLIX RELEASE THE NEW TRAILER OF ‘CAPTIVATING THE KING’ THE HISTORICAL ROMANCE DRAMA’.
The new upcoming Korean TV drama series acquired license rights to be released in many countries. The series is a collab between the fantastic creators–Jo Nam Gook directs the series, who previously directed both seasons of The Good Detective, Untouchable and Fast and screen-written by Kim Sung Deok.
The drama genre is based on romance, portraying the epic cruel love story between Yi In, a miserable king’s brother and Kang-Hee-soo, who deceives him for revenge.
The first two episodes of the ‘Captivating the King’ drama series will be streaming on Netflix (limited release in some regions) on 21st January. The series will consist of 16 episodes, which will stream on Saturday and Sunday and be broadcast on the South Korean cable network tvN before being available on Netflix.
The leading roles of the series starred Jo Jung Suk as Lee In( ‘Oh My Ghost’ and ‘The Nokdu Flower and King 2 Hearts’), Shin Sae Kyeong as Kang Hee Soo (‘Arthdas Chronicles sequel’ and ‘The Sword of Aramun’), and Lee-Shin Young as Kim Myung Ha ( previously starred in ‘Crash Landing on You’).
STORYLINE:
Lee In is a prince, and his older brother is King Lee Sun, who deeply cares about him. However, Lee In is later taken hostage by the Qing Dynasty as he vows loyalty to his older brother. Unfortunately, King Lee Sun misunderstands his younger brother’s loyalty and begins to hate him for it.
Lee In endures a lot of pain after this. He meets an unknown baduk player who wagers on her game and entirely becomes fascinated by her. In some circumstances, Lee In becomes the king, who holds the highest position and is recognised as a strong person yet internally being completely sad and weak.
Kang Hee Soon acquires a frame for an unknown baduk player and encounters Prince Lee In, with whom she falls in love. Fate takes a turn, and she finds herself working as a spy. She approaches King Lee In to seek her revenge.
