Emma Stone was seen mouthing “My dress is broken!” to the cameras while making her way to the stage to receive the Best Actress 2024 Oscar for her role as Bella Baxter in the movie “Poor Things” which counts her second Oscar win after seven years.

The celebrity donned a specially tailored mermaid dress along with exquisite high jewelry, both from Louis Vuitton. During her acceptance speech, Emma revealed that the zipper on her dress had torn, causing the wardrobe malfunction.

“My dress is broken. I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken,”
I’m pretty sure,” she said, referring to Ryan Gosling’s live performance just a few minutes ago, Stone said while accepting the award.

Stone added, “The other night, I was panicking—as you can kind of see, it happens a lot—that maybe something like this could happen, and Yorgos [Lanthimos] said to me, please take yourself out of it”. And he was right, because it’s not about me. It’s about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts. And that is the best part about making movies, is all of us together. And I am so deeply honoured to share this with every cast member, with every crew member, with every single person who poured their love and their care and their brilliance into the making of this film.”

“Poor Things” received 11 nominations, and with that it was the second most-nominated film. The film won four awards, including Best Actress for its lead star, Stone. Additionally, it won awards for Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, and Makeup and Hairstyling.
