Fallout Trailer: The post-apocalyptic world shares similarities with Bethesda’s Fallout video game franchise.

Ella Purnell as Luck in Fallout

Prime Video’s adaptation of the greatest video game series of all time, “Fallout”, has released its second trailer. The trailer features various classic Fallout elements that will undoubtedly make fans of the game feel nostalgic, such as the abundance of Stimpaks and the impressive-looking power armor.

Jonathan Nolan, the co-creator of Westworld, directs “Fallout.” Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the showrunners, and Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy serve as executive producers. The series features prominent roles for Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan.

In the second trailer of the upcoming TV series, we see a lot of similarities with the first one. The trailer follows a character named Lucy (played by Ella Purnell), who is a Vault Dweller venturing out into the dangerous Wasteland. The post-apocalyptic show maintains a gritty and violent atmosphere but also balances it out with a humorous and playful retrofuturistic style. For instance, we see a Mister Orderly bot that has a peculiar interest in harvesting Lucy’s organs, which is portrayed in a light-hearted manner.

Walton Goggins as The Ghoul in Fallout

“Fallout” is packed with references to Bethesda’s role-playing series. The trailer features the Vault Boy Bobblehead, a well-known mascot of the game, and glimpses of the popular faction, The Brotherhood of Steel. According to co-creator Jonathan Nolan, the series will approach the post-apocalyptic world with a humorous perspective, similar to that of the games. He added that the show will also have a thread of optimism woven into it. Co-showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet agrees, calling the TV series a “fun post-apocalyptic story” that will explore the different factions in the retro sci-fi world.

The show will start streaming on April 11th, and instead of a weekly schedule, all eight episodes will drop at once.
