HENRY CAVIL AND ALAN RITCHSON REUNITED FOR “THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE”: TRAILER RELEASE

Henry Cavill in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

Lionsgate dropped the first trailer of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, an upcoming spy-comedy film based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department.

The movie is inspired by real-life events that took place during WWII when U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill and James Bond author Ian Fleming formed the First Special Forces Mission in history. The film is also based on the same name book by Damien Lewis on war correspondent and military historian.

Guy Ritchie, director of Sherlock Homes, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and latest The Gentalmen, directs the film while written by Paul Tamasy, Eric Johnson, Arash Amel, and Ritchie. The cast includes Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, with Henry Golding, and Cary Elwes.

What does the trailer of “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” reveal?

Although the trailer doesn’t reveal much, it depicts the brutality of the group’s mission and the unchivalrous nature of their battles and killings.

The trailer’s synopsis describes the squad’s preludes to the modern Black Ops unit through unconventional and entirely ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques against the Nazis, significantly changing the course of the war.

The film’s in theaters on 19 April.
