The new two trailers have divided viewers into the Green and Black Councils. The Green’s trailer is for King Aegon, and the other Black’s trailer is for Queen Rhaenyra. Each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, and both sides plan to destroy each other, highlighting desperate vengeance. Both trailers reflect those two perspectives in separate yet complementary halves of the same story.

Based on author George RR Martin’s Game of Thrones book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon follows the Targaryen dynasty in the fictional continent of Westeros, set nearly 200 years before the happenings in Game of Thrones.

Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham are the returning cast members.
