Netflix has released an official trailer for an upcoming live-action series starring stars in a main cast that includes Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, and Ian Ousley as Sokka.
Other stars feature Daniell Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as General Iroh, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula and Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko.
Michael Goi and Jabbar Raisani serve as directed and executive producers alongside Rideback’s Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore. Other directors include co-executive producer Roseanne Liang and Jet Wilkinson.
The Last Airbender live-action is a reimagination of Nickelodeon’s beloved animated series’ new adaption, which follows the Aang, a young Avatar who must master the four elemental powers- water, air, earth and fire in order to stop a ruthless enemy and save a world at war.
Trailer Synopsis: The Fire Nation has taken a dangerous path that could have irreversible consequences for the world. To restore balance, Avatar Aang must take responsibility as a saviour and aim to stop the enemy. To do so, he needs to master the four elemental powers and, with the help of his friends, take on the responsibility of saving the world.
The series will premiere on Netflix on February 22, which includes the first eight episodes of Season 1.
