Nickelodeon’s popular show ‘Dora’ has returned!

On Monday morning, Paramount+ released the first official trailer for Dora. Dora the Explorer is back with brand new episodes. The original show aired on Nickelodeon from 2000 to 2014 and has inspired various spinoffs. One of those spinoffs is the 2019 live-action movie titled Dora and the Lost City of Gold, which starred Isabela Moner.

Dora is created by Chris Gifford and Valerie Walsh Valdes and produced by Nickelodeon Animation. Nickelodeon will air Dora to Paramount+ for more adventures, the show’s beloved character on her new adventures. The show revolved around the adventures of a young American Latina girl and her monkey companion, Boots, as they tackled riddles and encountered various characters, such as the thieving fox Swiper.

Dora is an upcoming CG-animated series that is set to premiere on April 12th. The show will be available on Paramount+ in North America, the U.K. and Australia. In addition, twenty episodes of the series will be available for streaming in other Paramount+ markets outside of France and Japan. The show will also air on Nick Jr. internationally.


Dora The Explorer

The series will consist of 26 11-minute episodes. Also coming out this spring is Dora’s Recipe for Adventure, Nickelodeon’s new 10-episode podcast series.

The cast includes Zermeño, Spence, Quiñones, Weiner, Rivera, Herles, Maria Canals-Barrera, Danny Burstein, Katarina Sky, Donovan Monzon-Sanders, Tandi Fomukong, Quintún Muñoz, and Chris Gifford. Taboo and Kate del Castillo serve as the guest stars in the show.

After the success of the Dora the Explorer show, the movie Lost City of Gold’s $120 million box office success has proven that general audiences are interested in new variations of the Dora character.
